Fannatiku Fest 2013...and the hit we took. :(

Hey all! Long time no hear again...I know I say that almost every time. I'm sorry. I'm trying to get better at this, but I have a lot on my plate that is life. Anywho! Moving along to the title of this blog. Fannatiku Fest 2013 was last weekend! Woohoo 2013 and now 2014 already in the works. We had a bumpy year, but it was still a really good time! We had some awesome people come out and join us this past weekend including:  Precious Cosplay , Chad Hardin , Rufus' Maid Cafe , and JUPITER. We had a couple of new events along with the usual favorites!

Sadly we did suffer a financial blow. Some one (we don't know who) stole the one piece of equipment we were renting from the Hotel. A very nice, very expensive LCD Projector. We've started a fund raiser to help replace it. Please take a look.

For those of you that attended the convention thank you so much for your support. For those of you that have yet to attend we hope to see you next year! Make sure to keep an eye out on our website for updates and contests! Fannatiku Fest

Thank you again for all of your support! We wouldn't be a convention without you!

Unity in Humanity - Something a little more serious from the Natchan

After recent disasters, reports, the presidential election, etc. I've got to thinking about humanity in general. I'm not getting after people or talking down to anyone. I just want to put this out there and remind people that we're all human. We're of the some race no matter what color, size, language, etc. We shouldn't be separated in anyway shape or form. We should be willing to help others and hope that they would do the same for us. We should say "Hello" and smile to strangers, you never know it might make their day. Help people out. Guard their back. Stop being judgmental and accept everyone for who they are. White, Black, Gay, Straight, Tall, Short, Large, Small, Old, Young, etc...we're all people. I think we should band together, not tear each other apart...or eventually....there won't even be people left to persecute. Unity for Humanity. Think about it. Thank you. I'll put away my soap box now. :)

"I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it's very difficult to find anyone."

Hey everyone! So the first Hobbit Movie comes out exactly 5 months from today. Am I excited? Oh you bet I am! I only wish that I could have gone to Comic Con this weekend to see all the awesome stuff. T^T Life size Trolls. Anywho! I'm trying to hopefully pull together a hobbit costume for the premier, but we'll see what happens. I would love to get a day or two off ahead and throw a line party, but its cold where I live. Brrr

It's still hard for me to believe that its been 11 years since the Fellowship came out. I remember the same kind of excitement then to.

A whole lot has been going on, but really too much to blog about. Sorry. ^^; Just wanted to give a small update.

Next Con is SabotenCon in Phoenix AZ. I've never been so this should be interesting.
Saboten Con
We originally were going to have an art table (Me & Jess) but they never got back to me. :( Oh well. Just attending will be fun.

Will write another update later! Love you all!

So much...

Ever have so much on your mind that you can even put it into proper words? Yeah, that's how my life has been currently, but it's not all bad, or even heavy handed. My life has been a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions lately, but as I said before not all bad Lol, so don't panic as you read this intro.

My birthday came an went a week ago. Sadly my best friend spent it sick on the couch, but at least she spent it sick on the couch next to me! :) Yeah I had to alter my plans to make them work, but you know what? That's a good skill to have I think, yes? Be able to take what life throws at me, catch it, and mold it to work. I bought some comics, bought Captain America, bought some snacks, then enjoyed all of the above with my roomies. Thanks for those of you that gave me birthday wishes by the way. That was very nice of you. <3

Do you ever realize how important some one is to you? Have you ever felt that sudden swelling in your chest when you've figured it out? Well I have, actually I have multiple times about the same person. Lol All I can say is that it is a wonderful feeling.

Fanime is this weekend, and I'm super excited. I don't have any cosplay plans, but I do know that I am going to have a wonderful time with the company that I'll have. I have the awesome opportunity to take my best friend to her first Large Anime Convention, and I am so freaking excited I can't even tell you. This should be a fun and interesting trip. I've never been to Fanime, or San Jose in general. My brother is coming along for the ride. I have two people that have never been to a larger con, and I have one person that has only been to the local Anime Con that I founded, so...this should be very awesome.

Well I could tell you bunches more, but I don't think the world is entirely ready for the awesomeness that I could unleash upon it.

See you all after Fanime !

Natchan out! XD

With the Arrival of Kip, and Fanime around the corner!

Hey everyone! Sorry about the over a month without posting! ^^; I really didn't think it had been that long. Lol Oops!

So This past Monday, May 7th my BJD Kip arrived, and that same night Jessiy (Bestest Friend Ever Thank You!) gave him a beautiful face-up! He can be seen below! He is a DollZone MSD LUke Sculpt, but his given name is Kip Ericks. He has a FaceBook Page if you're intersted. He is already good close friends with Jessiy's Doll Eden, and I'm sure will get along nicely with her doll Addyson.

Aside from the arrival of Kip, my birthday is right
around the corner on Monday! The big 28, yep only two more years until a hit 30, man the years are flying! I better get to it!

Also coming up is Fanime at the end of this month! A whole group of us are getting ready to make the 14+ hour drive up to San Jose, and we're excited! None of us have been to Fanime before, but we've heard good things. I'll be debuting my High School of the Dead Cosplay with Jessiy, which I'm really excited about!

Anyway! I'll keep you all updated better! See you!

As I listen...

Hey everyone,
There has been a lot going down lately, but I won't regale you with it like the evening news. What I will say is after a really hard couple of months...things are starting to look up, and awesome. People are happier, things are sorting themselves out, and yeah its still rough at times, but there is definitely stars in sky instead of a overwhelming darkness.

Lol, don't read into this too much, its not really all that profound. Its just a statement that things are looking up. That's the first step to being truly happy all the time right? Telling yourself that you will be happy. By being happy...you make those around you happier...and that is always a goal of mine. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I can be pretty cheesy and sappy...so what? If you're having a hard time right now with anything in your life whether it be relationship, self identification, financially, etc...remember...if you wake up, look at yourself in the mirror, and say that things are going to be better today... whether is right then, or next week...things will get better.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my ramblings. Hope you go away feeling a little better about yourself. Remember whoever you are reading this that you are an individual, and that no one can replace you. Walk a little taller.

See ya!

P.s. For those of you wondering what the heck my title is I'm listening to X-Japan's Dahlia.

Shopping to the music!

So I stopped at Smiths this evening on my way home from work to buy taco supplies and I had my headphones on while I was listening to a playlist on my iPod named "Conventions". I came to the decision that shopping to music with a rhythm in my step and dancing down the isles is way more exciting that shopping to grocery store music. People give you funny looks, chuckle, and just smile. It was quite the experience, and I will definitely do it again!

I recommend trying it!

:)
Just for fun! Here you are!
